Bring a fan and I don’t mean friend.
We entered the Wiltern and it was scorching at 100 degrees. Many of us over 45 mistook it for a hot flash. The artist prefers this heat, we were reminded multiple times. Don't forget to bring a fan and wear a tank top.
She was tardy as well. The show supposedly kicked off at 10:30, but she truly begins around 11. Sadly, there were no tunes from the Madonna of our younger days. While she briefly played snippets of two classics, it's evident she's lost touch with what propelled her to stardom. She seems intent on disregarding her earlier musical journey.
Towards the conclusion of the performance, she depicts a burning City and forests, in poor taste. Considering the recent fires in LA that have affected many in our community, it was insensitive of the producers and Undertale Live to showcase something so distressing during our healing process.
This will be my first and final Madonna concert. Unless, of course, she ensures a more comfortable temperature for her audience and includes at least 5 tracks from her other albums.
